This symposium explores how ongoing shifts in science, education, and technology challenge our models and practices of research, learning, and the governance of knowledge institutions. What needs to change in how we understand, organize, and transmit knowledge — and how can we stay mentally and emotionally grounded in the process? From critiques of reductive rationality to the mental health impacts of digitalization, especially among youth, from the subtle logics of uncertainty shaping scientific and institutional change to the implementation of AI in education, we ask what kinds of frameworks, structures, and practices can foster more responsive and effective ways of inquiry and exchange — while supporting resilience, reflection, and the ethically sustainable development of AI systems and neurotechnologies.
