Most
content currently available on the Meta Quest - the most popular VR
headset on the market today - is made to entertain. But as VR technology
is rapidly improving, the question arises of how we can use this
technology for good: to develop empathy for others, produce a sense awe
and wonder about the universe, bring people together in new communities,
and inspire positive social change.
In
this short video essay I invite you to explore current attempts to use
the Meta Quest not just to entertain, but to touch, inspire and change
the user through meaningful, virtual experiences - in short: to use it
as a medium for mental and spiritual (self-)care.
